All our lives we try to equip ourselves with the strength so that we can cope up with the world in a better way. For this, we get an education, and we get physical and mental training. We specialize in a particular field to have specific knowledge of the field. Throughout our lives, we look for knowledge and training to increase our strength. In this article, we are going to describe:

Importance of Inner Strength
Does it really help us? Recently I read in the local newspaper about an IPS officer who has retired recently, committing suicide. It shocked me. He had all the strengths we look for in this world – good education, good service, a happy family, and whatnot – but what made him commit suicide? What lacked in him because of which he refused to withstand life?
Recognizing the Inner Strength That Drives Us
We know a lot about what goes around us and know little about what goes within us. I don’t mean here about thoughts that go on ceaselessly in our heads. We have life inside that we know little about. If it is there everything is there – hope is there, the most important thing in life.
In this life, as per my understanding, there are two things – one is what we do in life and the other one is life itself. We remain focused on what we do – whatever we do. One can be an engineer, a lawyer, a doctor or a scientist, or whatever one wants to be. Learning of his profession, he learns about his profession, he discusses it, and he talks to other people about it. But what does he learn or what does he know about life? – the life because of which everything is there for him and if it is not, there is nothing. What does he know about it?
Let me be a bit clearer about it. When we come into this world when we are born, it is necessary for us to breathe, life must be there within. If it is not there, we won’t be brought home – if we were born in a hospital. That power that allows us to be what we are is meant here. That is the real power. If it is there everything is there, if it is not, there is absolutely nothing.

What is Inner Strength?
Inner strength refers to the inherent power and resilience that resides within individuals. It is the life force that sustains and drives us, enabling us to overcome challenges and navigate life’s difficulties. It is a deep sense of personal power, courage, and determination that arises from self-awareness and the realization of one’s true potential.
Inner Strength is the power of life itself
That power is the storehouse of strength. Every strength one can think of is because of that. You can learn medical science and become a world-renowned doctor but it is because of the courtesy of that power. Our focus is not on that power. We usually neglect it. When its impact becomes obvious, we think of it for a while and later forget about it.
Don’t we know its strength? It moves a big elephant and it moves a tiny ant as well. It is in us and it is everywhere. Do we need to learn to imbibe such a simple fact?
The Importance of Inner Strength
Now, we can say that this muscle power is only because of that inner strength or inner power which we are often ignorant of. In essence that, inner power is the real power, that inner strength is the real strength. How powerful that entity will be which moves the entire universe! That very same energy is within us that moves us.
Now the onus is upon us to know that strength. It is there but not realized. If it is realized, that strength will be with us, within us, always. We were born with it. It is our own strength, not of somebody else.
Nobody ever comes into our lives to teach us that strength. If we want to explore that strength, we shall seek to realize that power. As for the learnings of this world, we go to someone who has specialization in it and learns from it. Can’t we think of going to someone who specializes in revealing our inner strength? By merely reading a book, I doubt if it can be realized.
A Story about Inner Strength:
The Lion Cub and Sheep
I hope you might have read or heard of this story wherein a shepherd happens to find a lion cub while grazing his sheep near the jungle. He picks it up and takes care of it. When the cub recovers, he just puts them with the sheep. Now the cub goes and comes with sheep in the jungle.
One day a big lion roars in the jungle. All the sheep start hiding themselves – some under the bush and some under the tree. This cub also hides himself. When the lion sees the cub hiding, he goes to him asking, “What are you doing?”
“I am sheep, do not kill me.”
“You are not a sheep”, the lion told him.
“It’s okay, but don’t kill me,” the cub said.
“Come with me, I will show you who you are,” told the lion and took the cub to a pond and asked him to see. When he saw it, he said, “I am like you. I am not a sheep.” And he realized himself.
Likewise, this realization has to take place in our lives too. We have to find someone who can help us realize that. When it is done, inner strength is there in abundance.

Conclusion
In conclusion, our pursuit of external strengths and achievements often blinds us to the immense power that resides within us. We tend to focus on acquiring knowledge and excelling in our chosen fields, neglecting the essence of life itself. Yet, it is the inner strength, the life force that allows us to breathe and exist, that is the true source of power. By realizing and embracing this inner strength, we unlock a boundless wellspring of resilience, hope, and courage. It is essential that we seek guidance and embark on a journey of self-discovery to tap into this hidden potential, for within us lies the strength to navigate life’s challenges and find true fulfillment.
